New Moon Blood: Shedding & Planting Seeds in the Dark.

The New Moon is a time of potent stillness—a moment where Grandmother Moon turns her face away, inviting us into the rich darkness of possibility. It is the void, the fertile soil where seeds are planted, where whispers become intentions, and where our inner world speaks louder than the outer noise.

This New Moon cycle has been particularly profound for me, as I find myself bleeding once more with the dark moon—fully immersed in the deepest inward current of my cycle. To bleed with the New Moon is to surrender to the great mystery, to allow oneself to dissolve and be reborn with the waxing light. It is a calling inward, a reminder that my power is not in the doing, but in the being.

Yet this bleed has been harder than usual. My body has been aching, the pain a sharp reminder that I cannot ignore what is unresolved within me. And as I reflect, I see the mirror of my cycle in my life. The start of this year has felt much the same—heavy, challenging, stripping me bare. It is no coincidence. Our cycles are a window into ourselves, revealing what we may struggle to see in the light of day.

Today I begin to feel the gentle pull from my womb cave, it is here on day three of my bleed, I share with you the words that have been coming to life over the past few days. This offering has been in gestation, and now, as I begin to slowly step back into the world, I share these reflections with you—woven from the depths of my inner world.

The New Moon in Pisces: Surrendering to the Depths.

This New Moon unfolds on Friday at 11:45am, in the sign of Pisces, the mystic dreamer, the sign that dissolves the boundaries between seen and unseen, self and spirit, past and future. Pisces energy is fluid, intuitive, and deeply connected to the subconscious—where memories, emotions, and ancestral imprints swim beneath the surface, waiting to be felt.

To have a New Moon in Pisces is to be pulled into the depths. This is not a time of rigid structure or linear thinking. Pisces does not walk a straight path; she drifts, she surrenders, she trusts in the unseen currents to carry her where she needs to go.

And this is exactly what this moon is asking of us—to let go of control and allow ourselves to be guided.

Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, illusions, and spiritual connection. This means our intuition is heightened, our dreamscape more vivid, our emotions more fluid. But Neptune’s waters can be deceptive. Are we seeing truth, or only what we wish to see? Are we surrendering, or are we escaping? This is a moon that asks for discernment—not through logic, but through deep feeling.

The key to working with this New Moon is to trust what is rising within you. You may feel extra sensitive, extra open, extra attuned to energies beyond yourself. Rather than resisting, lean in. Let yourself listen to the messages of your body, your dreams, your emotions. Pisces reminds us that healing is not always about action—it is just as much about being, feeling, and allowing.

The Serpent’s Shedding: The Year of the Snake & Womb Wisdom.

We are in the Year of the Snake—a year of transformation, shedding old skins, moving through deep initiations. And what is the womb if not a place of shedding? A space where life and death coexist, where we release, regenerate, and rebirth ourselves over and over again.

The snake teaches us that in order to grow, we must shed. The process is uncomfortable—there is no way around that. But resisting the shedding only makes it harder. This is what I feel in my body now. The places I have held on too tightly. The fear of what comes after the release. The discomfort of the in-between.

Bleeding with the New Moon while walking through the energy of the Snake is a powerful initiation. It asks me “Are you ready to let go?” Not just of the surface layers, but of the deeper ones—the skins that are worn so close to the bone they feel like they are part of me. The old beliefs. The outdated identities. The fears that whisper, “Who will I be without this?”

To bleed with the dark moon is to move in harmony with the great cycles of death and rebirth. It is the descent into the underworld, where the deepest wisdom resides. When we bleed in the darkness, we are shedding not just physically, but energetically—clearing out what no longer serves, making space for what is to come.

There has also been something stirring within me since July of last year—a creation woven from the depths of my womb, slowly making its way into reality. It is nearly here. The whispers of this offering have been growing louder, and soon, they will be ready to be shared.

Elemental Guidance for the Signs.

The elements weave through us all, shaping how this New Moon energy manifests. Below is the elemental guidance for each sign—feel into what resonates and let it guide your intentions.

🌬 Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Your mind is stirring with new possibilities, but the invitation now is to quiet the noise and drop into the body. Not every idea needs immediate action—allow this New Moon to be a time of stillness, of letting ideas breathe before you rush to bring them to life. Dream, journal, and trust in divine timing.

🔥 Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

The fire within you is always ready to ignite, but this moon asks you to sit with the embers. What do you truly desire? What is the vision that aligns with your soul’s evolution? Instead of forcing forward momentum, let the flame flicker and show you what is worth tending to.

🌊 Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

This is a deeply emotional moon for you—one that calls for self-compassion and gentleness. The waters of your intuition are strong right now; trust them. Let yourself flow, let yourself feel, and know that the dreams taking root now will bloom in their own divine time.

🌿 Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

Ground yourself in the present. The seeds you plant now require patience and nurturing, not just planning and control. Trust in the unseen growth, in the slow unfolding of the path ahead. Rituals with nature, hands in the earth, and deep embodied practices will support your intentions.

The Womb as a Mirror.

Our cycle is a portal into our inner world. When our bleed is painful, difficult, or emotionally intense, it is never just a physical experience. It is an invitation to listen—to ask what needs to be acknowledged, what needs to be honoured, what needs to be let go of.

This cycle has shown me where I am still gripping, where I am resisting surrender. It is teaching me, as the Snake does, that the only way forward is through—through the shedding, through the discomfort, through the unknown.

If you too are bleeding with the New Moon, or feeling the weight of this shedding, know that you are not alone. Honour what is rising for you. Let yourself retreat into your own sacred darkness. The seeds of the next cycle are already waiting beneath the soil.

For me, a three or four-day bleed is normal. I’ve come to understand and honour this rhythm within my body. But I know for other women, the bleed may be longer or shorter. The key is knowing what is normal for you—what is your unique cycle. When we understand our cycle, we can harness the power of our bleed and care for ourselves in the most intuitive and aligned way.

A Ceremony for the New Moon.

On Thursday night at 7pm, I will be holding a New Moon Ceremony—gathering online in sacred space to plant the seeds of intention, to honour the darkness, and to align with the energy of new beginnings. We will work with ritual, energy, and spirit to call forth what is ready to emerge.

If you feel the stirrings of something new, if you are ready to honour the power of your own inner cycles, I invite you to join me. These ceremonies are an anchor, a place where we weave together energy, intention, and deep magic.

As Grandmother Moon begins her ascent once more, what will you choose to plant in this fertile darkness? What whispers are stirring in your soul?

Let this be a time of deep listening, of sacred surrender, and of trust in the unfolding.
