Full Moon Reflections

Full Moon Reflections & Elemental Guidance | April 2025

A message from the liminal space between life, death, and return.

It’s taken me a few days to land back in my body.

In the early hours of Friday morning—long before the sun rose—I received the call. Spirit moved through my phone. A labour had begun.

Without hesitation, I packed what I needed, whispered to the trees outside and left for the airport. I flew across the country guided by nothing but trust, the pulse of life on the other end of the line and the knowing that I was meant to be there. Brisbane called. Birth called. And so I followed.

From Friday morning through to Saturday night, I stood witness at the threshold. No sleep. No time. No separation between physical and spiritual. Just presence.

The sacred portal of birth is unlike anything else. It strips you bare. It reveals the raw power and love of creation in its most primal form. It is ceremony, initiation, surrender and resurrection—all at once.

And I witnessed it beneath the light of Grandmother Moon.

Full Moon in Libra | The Mirror & the Midpoint

By the time I returned to Victoria on Saturday evening, the Full Moon was nearly at her peak—rising into her fullness in the sign of Libra early on Sunday morning, April 13.

I had intended to write and share this blog before the Moon reached her height, but Spirit had other plans. And now I realise: being at that birth was the Full Moon ritual. That was the message. That was the ceremony.

Under Libra’s light, we are asked to see ourselves more clearly—reflected back through our relationships, our choices and the ways we move through the world. But birth? Birth is the deepest mirror of all. In that moment of arrival, everything is illuminated.

Libra holds the tension between two truths: the self and the other. Me and we. Autonomy and belonging.

And that’s what I felt in every contraction, every sacred pause, every breath held between realms. The birthing mother walked that edge, straddled that sacred polarity. And in holding her, I walked it too.

This Full Moon brought a deep recalibration of relationships—not just with others, but with time, body and purpose. We were reminded that sometimes balance isn’t symmetry—it’s presence. It’s knowing when to lean in and when to lean back. When to show up, and when to surrender to the current.

Now, with the Moon beginning to wane, her energy shifts.

From brightness to softness. From action to integration. From expression to exhale.

And this is where we are now—moving through the echo of that birth, that moon, that moment.

If you felt emotional, tender, cracked open, or unusually still over the weekend, know that you were not alone. The veils were thin. Something in the collective stirred.

This Moon may have unearthed something old in you—a pattern, a desire, a grief, a calling. Let it speak. Let it breathe. Don’t rush to fix or name it.

Instead, come back to the elements.

The image used in this blog was captured by my partner, Boyd. He sent it to me while I was still in the birth portal—still in the liminal in-between. When I received it, I signed relief. It was as though Spirit placed that moment in front of me as a mirror: the stillness of nature holding me, reminding me that even as I journeyed far from home, I was still deeply held. That photo became an anchor—a thread of beauty and love that wove through the intensity of it all.

Elemental Guidance for the Waning Moon

EarthCome home to your body. After such deep energetic movement, allow yourself to slow. Touch the earth. Eat grounding foods. Nap. Walk barefoot.

WaterLet yourself feel. If there are tears still held inside, make space for them. Soak in a bath. Journal. Let the water hold what you no longer need to carry.

AirClear your mind. Libra is an air sign and now’s the time to release looping thoughts or decisions that aren’t truly yours. Use your breath. Call back your clarity.

FireTend to your inner flame. If you gave a lot of energy this past week, it’s time to come back to your own fire. Light a candle. Say no. Reclaim your spark.

As we stood under the Full Moon, we are reminded of the sacred portal of birth—the profound passage from maiden to mother. This transition is not just a physical journey; it is a spiritual one, a rebirth of the soul. It is a place where the divine feminine energy flows with raw power and in the moment of birth, there is both death and rebirth. The old self sheds away, making room for the creation of new life, new wisdom and new beginnings. This sacred act holds within it the energy of creation, the eternal dance of life and the cosmic truth that from every ending, a new beginning arises. May we honour the sacredness of new life and in doing so, we honour the cycles of the Grandmother Moon and the cycles within ourselves.

I’ll see you soon in ceremony.

With reverence,

TJ
